Ingredients: Oil – As per use, make 1 cup green gram – or lilwe, 1 potato – cut, 1 bay leaf, 2 long, 1 big cardamom, 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste, 2 tablespoons curd, 1 onion – paste 1 onion – finely chopped, 1 teaspoon red chilli powder, 3/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, salt – as per use, water – as per use, 3 sprig green coriander – finely chopped

Instructions: To make Lilve vegetable, first heat oil in a pan. After the oil is hot, add bay leaves, long and cardamom. After 15 seconds, add onion and cook till it becomes soft. Now add potatoes and cook for another 5 minutes. After 5 minutes add ginger garlic and onion paste. Let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes. After 3 minutes add red chili powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder to it. After cooking for 2 minutes, add curd, salt and mix it. Add green gram after 3 minutes, mix it, cover the pan and let it cook for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, add water as per use and let it cook. Turn off the gas after 4 to 5 minutes and garnish with green coriander. Serve the lilve vegetable along with punchy lentils, boondi raita and phulka for dinner.
